Volpe Expansion Joints

SmartATI Construction has been awarded a multi-year contract with the US Department of Transportation to provide construction services at The National Transportation Systems Center (VOLPE) in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  We’re proud to highlight one of our task orders on this contract which is to address the corrosion of existing pipes and expansion joints in this aging building. The following pictures show how our team created openings and installed access doors enabling the pipefitters to change corroding pipes and expansion joints in the walls of several rooms.  SmartATI’s team ensures the projects are completed to specification, within a controlled environment to contain dust while maintaining the highest safety standards.
